Family of Four Photo Session | Round Rock Photographer

This family of four photo session was one of those sessions that was just SO. MUCH. FUN. We met up at a local park here in RR, just before golden hour, and the whole family showed up ready to have fun. They saw this day as a chance to spend time together and make some memories while I documented it all. That’s the kind of photo session I’m always going to love 💕

Before this though, one of the first things we talked about was outfits! The thing I always tell families is that coordinating outfits doesn't have to be complicated. This sweet family used my online outfit guide and sent me photos beforehand, which helped us make sure everything worked well together. I also created a Pinterest board for some inspo too! Mom wore a light embroidered blouse with denim shorts, dad kept things simple in a navy polo and light shorts, and the kiddos looked adorable in soft neutral tones and light blue accents. Everything was perfectly cohesive without being overly matchy-matchy, which is exactlyyyy what we want.

One of my favorite parts of this family of four photo session was that their little boy was completely OBSESSED with the speaker I bring to every session.

He asked to hold it multiple times and kept requesting Taylor Swift songs. As a fellow Swiftie, I was more than happy to keep the playlist going. Between the music, the running, and all the giggles, the whole session felt more like hanging out at the park than taking family photos.

There is something especially fun about photographing families with young kids because every session takes on a personality of its own. This one was full of movement and play. We ran through the grass, chased each other around, twirled, and let the kids explore.

I just really love thinking about how these are the photos that they will pull up to remember this season of life. These are the images that will live in frames or iPhone backgrounds and become part of their family’s history. It makes me kinda emotional as a fellow mom!

ALSO! No session would be complete without photos of just mom and dad.

It's so easy to spend the entire session focused on the kids, (I mean, they’re cuties!) and trust me, we get plenty of those photos. But I also want you to walk away with a few updated images of the two of you together. During this session, the kiddos hung out nearby with me while mom and dad got a few sweet moments alone.

I think every parent deserves photos that remind them of this season of their relationship, not just their role as mom and dad.

This family of four photo session was filled with laughter, great music, and the kind of candid moments that make family photos feel meaningful. Honestly, it was just a really good time, and that's exactly how I want every session to feel.
